Many Meetings~

Certain people are just cowards who dare not confront you straight but instead, go behind you doing idiotic stuff. The Legendary Cheese Cake baker is the perfect candidate to be fitted in to this category. Lame it was that "it" came to our house to bake "its" stupid cake, using all our stuff and worst of all, never acknowledge nor thank any of us. Tired of "its" repeated harassments, we decided to consume one of "its" inedible cake. This resulted in the eruption of one of our housemate's firework rage and a few other small actions taken by that legendary "it".

As expected, "it" targeted only us guys. Emo Keat was delayed by "it" for an occasion, while my sexual orientation was exposed to everyone by "it", but the revelation was not all. "It" was kind enough to encourage people around us to be extra-careful of me. "It" was also kind enough to promote me everywhere I went. Well, "it" better pray hard and hope high that none of "it's" sons or further descendants would be Born This Way.

Pharmacy Night 2011 was drawing nigh and we were to practise for our performance - the Evolution of Dance. It was a tight schedule, having to learn everything up and polish them in just less than 2 weeks. Well, it was not pleasant having to practise with "it" around but we agreed on performing it earlier this year, and it wasn't good to just withdraw from the performance, so I just had to bear with "it".

This version of Evolution of Dance was a mash-up of 21 songs from artists like Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Super Junior, Wonder Girls, and Lady Gaga. Among the list, the toughest seems to be Sorry Sorry by Super Junior and Waka Waka by Shakira. The former required great leg movement speed and coordination while the latter required flexibility and fluidity of our bodies to perform that belly dance.

Besides this, we did perform another Glee Club Marry You dub - Graduate. We had to prerecord the song since there weren't enough microphones to go about (8 Glee Club members we had). The recording was hell. The singers didn't know their parts well and we didn't have enough facilities for a good recording. We did what we could and the editing was a second level of hell. What was worse, the choreography - topsy-turvy.

our performance~

Well, I'd say our performance during the Pharmacy Night was only mediocre. I'd say that our juniors performed way better than us. Anyway, the House of Tarots was a success and our juniors really did a good job in organising that dinner.

Forget about the House of Tarots, it's time for Fairy Tales. One weekend, I took Mercedes World Lim with me to Raja Uda once again to eat, pray and watch a movie. This time, we ate 7 Long's koay teow th'ng, went for the Adjustment Bureau, and at night, we had "pan mee" at Raja Uda. Spent some time bitching about our lives after all those activities before going home.

Machine Lim gave me and NiNi Global Neo quite an adventure this time. She went to Korea and left her mother my contact number in case of emergency. One night, her mother rang me up suddenly and the drama began. I wouldn't wanna mention it here (out of respect for Machine's privacy) but it was really an experience. Amusing I thought.

The Curse of the Legendary Cheese Cake & Valentine's Fellowship~

Valentine's day brought about a few changes or turnings in the environment. Singles' parties, break-ups, singles to doubles, doubles to triples, etc. Needless it is for me to mention who's who, especially the doubles to triples.

The so-called "pre-Valentine's celebration" was held at Straights Quay's Blue Reef and it was rather surprising to see Eddy attending such function. Little did I know of the underlying reason. It was also surprising not to see Emo Keat attending it. After dinner, we headed to 69 Mansion and another surprising thing this time was that Mami Jin came along. Well, in that mansion, I saw many gorgeous guys and I wished that I could look a little more like them or at least had their features. Life would be so much more beautiful. Well, unfortunately (for me, and fortunately for some) I'm not. However, the this even wasn't all purely emotional. There was a bonus compensation - the cute dances moves by Cute Girl Han~

Back to the house in SP, a certain intruder once again trespassed into our house and prepared his Legendary Cheese Cake to woo his love interest (our good junior, Siew Ling). Would he had been more polite and respectful towards the people of my house, we wouldn't have anything against him preparing those inedible Legendary Cheese Cakes. However, he wasn't at all grateful towards the inhabitants of the house. He was like Mr. Chan, a certain pharmacist that my class once met, the "koay keo thiak pang" type of person (koay keo thiak pang = cross the bridge then dismantle the logs used to build the bridge).

the inedible Legendary Cheese Cake~

Lemon, foils, electricity, utensils, manpower, etc. He took them without permission. He even sneered at Emo Keat once. Why couldn't he just prepare the cakes at home? Does his home not have a refrigerator or freezer? About 4 times he came to make his Legendary Cheese Cakes, and each time he came, nobody wanted to entertain him or give him access to our house except one of my housemate who was indifferent towards him. So we ate one of the cheese cake without his permission, and the cake was really a disaster. I meant disaster as in the taste and the aftermath. Clearly he was a terrible baker.

Later that night, I was already asleep and there was a destructive crashing knock on my door. I was kinda lazy to entertain but thought it might be something important, so I opened the door. Upon opening, there was a loud deafening roar from one of my housemates. He was upset and angry that we, the other 3 inhabitants of the house, ate the Legendary Cheese Cake of his friend (the intruder).

Initially I bought that idea and I told him it was not his business since it was something between us and that intruder, but as he roared further, I realised that my housemate was upset because he thought that we were against him, so we ate his friend's Legend. I could have just shouted back at him but I realised it wouldn't help much. So I just stared blankly at him, giving him a continuous gaze. He even called me a hypocrite. I couldn't believe what he just said!! If that were to come from Emo Keat, I would've accept it since I had misunderstandings with Emo Keat earlier, but from this guy? Hell, among my housemates, I used treat him the best and just because we seldom speak to each other nowadays because of a certain girl friend, he thought I was against him.

After the thunderous scolding in my room, he stormed upstairs targeting the other two housemates. Now it was really a sight to behold. Thunderstorm in the middle of the night (it was around 12 - 1am). Those other two housemates were initially polite but they got fumed and wasn't tolerating his shouting and they screamed back. All of us then gave up the fight and we went back into our own rooms, leaving him with his own thoughts.

When he was calm, he did apologise and asked me the reason I hated him. I couldn't possibly find any reason because I did not hate him. The reason all of us didn't really dare to talk to him because he had a volatile temper and that his mood changes very fast. He might be joking with us, and suddenly get angry because of a word we said that he found offensive. Another reason was not safe to be disclosed but it definitely had nothing to do with hatred for him. I reasoned to him that if we had something against him, we didn't have to wait till that night to sabotage him. His room was not locked most of the time and we could have had easy access to his room and sabotage him then. Well, at least he was contented with that (I hope).

On Valentine's day, we had dinner at a certain Thai food kopitiam. Inedible. And the following day, there was a sad news. Guess it was because of the Curse of the Legendary Cheese Cake~

A New Semester & A Different Chinese New Year~

In mid January 2011, the new (& final) semester kicked off with a boring curriculum. Guess what? Community Pharmacy, Drug Abuse and Society, Pharmacoepidemiology, GMP & QC, Public Health, and Alternative Medicine. I kinda hoped that the previous semester was longer than the present one but nothing stays, for fifty years or so, it's gonna change you know. There was also a boring 72-hour community pharmacy training that we had to go through. It was hell for me and those who were under Zuffa Pharmacy, Jalan Dewa. I don't feel like I wanna elaborate on that but the better thing I could say about the training was that there were many types of nonsense people visiting the pharmacy.

CNY Prayers~

This Chinese New Year is my first time home alone and doing most of the CNY stuff alone (like prayers, rituals, etc). Reunion dinner was with my paternal grandmother. All I could say was that it was something different this year having to go through it alone. I kinda liked it, but come the first day of CNY and it would be otherwise. I had to wake up early to prepare visiting relatives. It was a tiring day, having to visit different people from morning till evening. The second day was no different. Third day of CNY came and I fell sick. Fourth day of CNY - visit to hospital & was prescribed cefuroxime which that alone costs RM75. Suck Blood~ I didn't know drugs also had CNY rates.

Cefuroxime~

This season wasn't without love interest but it was the least interesting love story I've ever experienced. It was short (though not the shortest) and not worth mentioning much. I'll summarise everything in just one line~ Sweet but irresponsible, not serious, lazy, uncaring, tacky, immature, and lame.

Transition 2011~

Christmas came and went just like that. With the majority of the Fairies going down south to Singapore, and Dr. Machine was having multiple exams, I spent Christmas Eve with Edward in McDonald's. Pitiful huh? Well, its alright. Christmas hadn't been great since I was a kid. However, on Boxing Day, I went visiting one of my relatives in Sungai Bakap. We tried a few "new" food there and also had koay teow soup on the way back. I'm not a food critique but I would say that the food in Sungai Bakap were nothing more than Ajinomoto.

Later that night, there was supposed to be a birthday party celebration for my grandmother. OK, my paternal grandmother, whom I am not really fond of (yes, I'm not going to pretend being a good grandson saying A++ stuff about her). I kinda dread this event but I couldn't say "no" to it, so I went but not really enjoying it. I got a call from Kelv and I took this opportunity to slip away from the event, joining Kelv for a drink at Old Town.

28th December 2010 marked the day when nearly the whole of Penang Island was cut off of water supply, so I went to pay Yi Han a visit at Butterworth. Well, she was eager to bring me to the famous Hokkien Mee (Prawn Mee in Ipoh/KL) but the shop was not open. So we went searching high and low for her other favourite Hokkien Mee stalls but alas, they were not open as well. In the end, we went for koay teow soup (again!). After that, we went for a karaoke session (yes, just the two of us), and also a movie (Gulliver's Travels). We then went for early dinner and we were supposed to have Frest Fruit Tea for gossip session but it was closed, so we went Apex Cafe instead.

On New Year's Eve, the Fairies booked me for a so-called New Year's Day countdown. Yes, I had suspected that they were going to celebrate my (belated) birthday for me and it proved to be true when I saw Mercedes Lim's special event about my birthday in Facebook which she didn't properly customise as private. Good job Mercedes!! Of course I didn't tell them that I knew about it. What's next? Initially, it was set to Blue Reef, Straights Quay for dinner and countdown. I thought, it would be nice since Straights Quay had just been endorsed not so long ago.

However, due to the fact that the menu of Blue Reef was not in their favour, they changed the venue to Queensbay Mall. I was a little devastated to hear that but since they were planning for my birthday, I wouldn't wanna say anything because at least they had the intention of celebrating it. If it wasn't my birthday, I would definitely had drill them to go Straights Quay since the countdown would be better than Queensbay Mall.

So Queensbay Mall it was, but which restaurant? Guess what? The restaurant I hated most~ Dragon-i. Again, I couldn't really defy them since it was my birthday they were planning. Alright, so there we went. I went to Queensbay Mall earlier with Sheeby Yang and as usual, that Sheeby kept on bragging about this and that, not forgetting his infamous complaints about this and that, him and her. While waiting for the arrival of the girls, I ran into Emo Keat with his Apple in the mall. Kelv was also in Queensbay Mall and he saw me with Sheeby which led him into sending me a funny SMS.

So it was only Mercedes Lim, Nini Global Neo, Beyoncheq Ooi, and Sheeby Yang~ Dr. Machine Lim couldn't make it because of her exams. During dinner at Dragon-i, we found out that the waiter, or supervisor, or manager, or whatever you call that position, who took our orders was actually our ex-secondary school student. The food was considered good by many but I'm not going to comment on them since if I do, I'm going to be very biased (I don't like Chinese cuisine).

Dinner at Dragon-i~

After dinner, it was shopping time for the girls~ no wonder they opted for Queensbay Mall over Straights Quay. They bought me a cake (from Bread History if I'm not mistaken) and I was carrying the cake following them around the mall. While following them around, I encountered Sok Nee and Gim Huan. Boy it was really long since I last saw them. We chatted a while and they saw me holding the cake. They thought I bought that for Chinese New Year.

After their shopping, we went to a cafe and well, I blew the cake. It was really an adorable cake with strawberries~ STRAWBERRIES~ my favourite. Oh well, so they put the candles, they lit the candles, they sang the song, I made wishes, I blew, I cut, Nini distributed, and we ate. To my horror, it was coffee-flavoured~ >.<>.<

Cake~ STRAWBERRIES!!

Make a wish~

After finishing the cake, we went for the countdown event. Alright, it was Beyond performing. Hell, I don't even know any of their songs. What I did was just sway as the crowd did and when the inaccurate clock stoke 12, Fireworks!! Well, not really that nice though. Far away, we could see that the fireworks (most probably at Esplanade) started way before the one at Queensbay were released and it lasted longer and was much grander than the one at Queensbay.

Queensbay over Straights Quay~ Chinese food (I dislike) for my birthday~ Dragon-i (the place I hated very much)~ Coffee-flavoured cake (cough cough)~ Beyond (who lai?)~ turned out to be rather ironic. Well, well, don't get me wrong. I do not doubt their hearts for celebrating my birthday for me but it was really the Best Celebration Ever!! Why? Because it was celebrated by the Fairies~ I wrote all these out because I find it rather amusing.

New Year doesn't put the past behind. What happened during Christmas still haunts me. You're still fresh in my mind and I cannot really bear with it. 5th January 2011, 5:16 pm, You called. I was reluctant to pick up Your call but I did. 6th January 2011, morning, we had a webcam session together. I was very happy to see You but what You did was just too much for me to bear. Despite all these, Your profile, I saw, still looked for sex. I'm hurt.

To add dread to my anxiety, I'm totally confused which state should I apply for my training. Sabah? Sarawak? Sabah seems to be of more fun and adventurous, but the standard of living is damn high there. Sarawak seems to be more inviting, but You are there and I fear getting entangled with You further and deeper. What's worse, I saw J. Kam's profile who's practising there in Sarawak. I'm worried that I would jeopardise my own future by taking just one step wrong. 2011 didn't start off good for me. I fear it will not be a good year for me.
