Christmas came and went just like that. With the majority of the Fairies going down south to Singapore, and Dr. Machine was having multiple exams, I spent Christmas Eve with Edward in McDonald's. Pitiful huh? Well, its alright. Christmas hadn't been great since I was a kid. However, on Boxing Day, I went visiting one of my relatives in Sungai Bakap. We tried a few "new" food there and also had koay teow soup on the way back. I'm not a food critique but I would say that the food in Sungai Bakap were nothing more than Ajinomoto.

Later that night, there was supposed to be a birthday party celebration for my grandmother. OK, my paternal grandmother, whom I am not really fond of (yes, I'm not going to pretend being a good grandson saying A++ stuff about her). I kinda dread this event but I couldn't say "no" to it, so I went but not really enjoying it. I got a call from Kelv and I took this opportunity to slip away from the event, joining Kelv for a drink at Old Town.
28th December 2010 marked the day when nearly the whole of Penang Island was cut off of water supply, so I went to pay Yi Han a visit at Butterworth. Well, she was eager to bring me to the famous Hokkien Mee (Prawn Mee in Ipoh/KL) but the shop was not open. So we went searching high and low for her other favourite Hokkien Mee stalls but alas, they were not open as well. In the end, we went for koay teow soup (again!). After that, we went for a karaoke session (yes, just the two of us), and also a movie (Gulliver's Travels). We then went for early dinner and we were supposed to have Frest Fruit Tea for gossip session but it was closed, so we went Apex Cafe instead.

On New Year's Eve, the Fairies booked me for a so-called New Year's Day countdown. Yes, I had suspected that they were going to celebrate my (belated) birthday for me and it proved to be true when I saw Mercedes Lim's special event about my birthday in Facebook which she didn't properly customise as private. Good job Mercedes!! Of course I didn't tell them that I knew about it. What's next? Initially, it was set to Blue Reef, Straights Quay for dinner and countdown. I thought, it would be nice since Straights Quay had just been endorsed not so long ago.
However, due to the fact that the menu of Blue Reef was not in their favour, they changed the venue to Queensbay Mall. I was a little devastated to hear that but since they were planning for my birthday, I wouldn't wanna say anything because at least they had the intention of celebrating it. If it wasn't my birthday, I would definitely had drill them to go Straights Quay since the countdown would be better than Queensbay Mall.
So Queensbay Mall it was, but which restaurant? Guess what? The restaurant I hated most~ Dragon-i. Again, I couldn't really defy them since it was my birthday they were planning. Alright, so there we went. I went to Queensbay Mall earlier with Sheeby Yang and as usual, that Sheeby kept on bragging about this and that, not forgetting his infamous complaints about this and that, him and her. While waiting for the arrival of the girls, I ran into Emo Keat with his Apple in the mall. Kelv was also in Queensbay Mall and he saw me with Sheeby which led him into sending me a funny SMS.
So it was only Mercedes Lim, Nini Global Neo, Beyoncheq Ooi, and Sheeby Yang~ Dr. Machine Lim couldn't make it because of her exams. During dinner at Dragon-i, we found out that the waiter, or supervisor, or manager, or whatever you call that position, who took our orders was actually our ex-secondary school student. The food was considered good by many but I'm not going to comment on them since if I do, I'm going to be very biased (I don't like Chinese cuisine).

Dinner at Dragon-i~
After dinner, it was shopping time for the girls~ no wonder they opted for Queensbay Mall over Straights Quay. They bought me a cake (from Bread History if I'm not mistaken) and I was carrying the cake following them around the mall. While following them around, I encountered Sok Nee and Gim Huan. Boy it was really long since I last saw them. We chatted a while and they saw me holding the cake. They thought I bought that for Chinese New Year.
After their shopping, we went to a cafe and well, I blew the cake. It was really an adorable cake with strawberries~ STRAWBERRIES~ my favourite. Oh well, so they put the candles, they lit the candles, they sang the song, I made wishes, I blew, I cut, Nini distributed, and we ate. To my horror, it was coffee-flavoured~ >.<>.<

Cake~ STRAWBERRIES!!

Make a wish~
After finishing the cake, we went for the countdown event. Alright, it was Beyond performing. Hell, I don't even know any of their songs. What I did was just sway as the crowd did and when the inaccurate clock stoke 12, Fireworks!! Well, not really that nice though. Far away, we could see that the fireworks (most probably at Esplanade) started way before the one at Queensbay were released and it lasted longer and was much grander than the one at Queensbay.
Queensbay over Straights Quay~ Chinese food (I dislike) for my birthday~ Dragon-i (the place I hated very much)~ Coffee-flavoured cake (cough cough)~ Beyond (who lai?)~ turned out to be rather ironic. Well, well, don't get me wrong. I do not doubt their hearts for celebrating my birthday for me but it was really the Best Celebration Ever!! Why? Because it was celebrated by the Fairies~ I wrote all these out because I find it rather amusing.
New Year doesn't put the past behind. What happened during Christmas still haunts me. You're still fresh in my mind and I cannot really bear with it. 5th January 2011, 5:16 pm, You called. I was reluctant to pick up Your call but I did. 6th January 2011, morning, we had a webcam session together. I was very happy to see You but what You did was just too much for me to bear. Despite all these, Your profile, I saw, still looked for sex. I'm hurt.
To add dread to my anxiety, I'm totally confused which state should I apply for my training. Sabah? Sarawak? Sabah seems to be of more fun and adventurous, but the standard of living is damn high there. Sarawak seems to be more inviting, but You are there and I fear getting entangled with You further and deeper. What's worse, I saw J. Kam's profile who's practising there in Sarawak. I'm worried that I would jeopardise my own future by taking just one step wrong. 2011 didn't start off good for me. I fear it will not be a good year for me.
